Hello! I am a Visual Designer, Illustrator and Educator.
(MA) Master of Arts in Art + Design Education from Rhode Island School of Design
(BFA) Bachelor of Fine Arts from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA.
I work in Educational & Children Book Illustration, Graphic Design, Photography, Creative Mentoring.
Recognizing my enthusiasm for children's illustration, I was asked to create the concept art and final illustrations for a charming children book/merchandise/live show series in Switzerland promoting a multi-platinum Swiss musician. I illustrated 8 books and countless merchandise for the series, before taking some time off from illustrating to obtain my MA.
A passion for visual storytelling and as a fierce defender of children, led me to RISD. My thesis: was developed around a multi-disciplinary experience using art and narrative to guide youth toward self-empowerment, curiosity and autonomy.
More recently I completed a multi-year contract illustrating curriculum for Lincoln Center NY Jazz Academy and PBS Kids, in collaboration with Mizzen by Motts. I also spent a couple years as a Professional Mentor serving at risk kids through Friends of the Children.
Described as a "Mischievous Mary Poppins", which I believe translates to; "She is very playful & has yet to ever miss a deadline!"
With a passion for Visual Storytelling and Purposeful Play, I weave special connections with humans of all ages/walks of life and am always developing unique child-led methods to connect and co-create with children on their level!
A long-time dubbed "child whisperer" who loves to disrupt-disruption positively, I am
a firm believer that all children should be seen and heard... Often!
